Beth Goodman

As a native New Englander from a family of builders and entrepreneurs, real estate is truly a family legacy for me. My father, a 24-year-old toolmaker, taught himself to build homes from books and went on to construct nearly every house our family lived in. He passed that knowledge to my three older brothers, who then taught me how to spot the right "fixer-upper" and transform it into a successful investment.

I grew up in Newtown, Connecticut, and have been coming to Maine since I was four. After college and a European tour, I lived and worked in places as varied as Manhattan, Maui, Lake Tahoe, Philadelphia's Main Line, Switzerland, and Australia. Along the way I met my husband, Josh, an adventurous Australian. Together we built a life focused on craft, quality, and a shared love of beautiful places--which eventually led us home to Midcoast Maine.

My professional real estate journey began in 2013, when Josh and I partnered with my family to develop a small rental portfolio in Midcoast Maine. What started as helping with design and materials quickly grew into full project management and hands-on construction experience. In 2018, we took on a custom 4,800-square-foot home near Lincolnville Beach, which I managed day-to-day--often with a newborn in a carrier--bringing it to completion in just over a year. That property, with its bay and mountain views, gardens, orchard, and forest paths, became our family sanctuary and the birthplace of Native Sauna, our custom luxury sauna business.

Today, we live on a lakeside property with fields, forest, and 500 feet of waterfront, where our children spend most of their time outdoors while we build an epic lake house for our family and future generations. I can say from experience that Maine really is "the way life should be.'

My construction and design background gives my clients a distinct advantage. I help buyers see a property's potential--whether it's a dream home, a lakefront retreat, or an investment opportunity--and I know how to prepare, position, and present homes so they shine on the market and sell quickly. Most importantly, I love guiding people through the transformative process of turning a dream into a reality.
