Chris Lynch

Christopher Lynch is the founder and sole owner of Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty. He currently holds the title of President and Designated Broker for Maine's Leading Luxury Property Company. From its inception in 2006, Chris has grown our company from its six founding brokers to more than 100 Maine and New Hampshire real estate agents and 6 offices serving Coastal Communities from Seacoast New Hampshire beyond Bar Harbor. In recent years we have expanded to the Western Lakes and Mountains in addition to our ability to serve the New Hampshire Seacoast.

Chris had a vision to change the way luxury property was bought and sold in Maine. We have developed a model which is more friendly to the majority of buyers who want to explore a wide cross-section of Maine communities without having to hire several local agencies throughout the state. Our company is operated as ONE COMPANY with six locations with a unique ability to support all the coastal Maine communities and its many special properties. It was also our purpose to open the market to many more homes by applying listing and selling techniques which had previously only been used for the top 1% of homes. This includes beautiful professional photography and extraordinary print advertising venues, Sotheby's International Realty Branded signage, state-of-the-art website, exclusive relationships with the Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe and the New York Times and access to the most qualified buyers in the world. We offer our proprietary services to all home sellers with properties valued more than $300,000 as well as a broad array of Maine condominiums and parcels of land.

After 17 years on Wall Street, Chris gave up his role as a Managing Director, Principal and Global Head of the Investment Grade Bond Department at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Prior to that he held positions in Investment Banking and Debt Capital Markets at Kidder Peabody, Credit Suisse and Solomon Smith Barney.

A graduate of Bates College (ME) and Andover High School (MA), Chris had a passion for the coast of Maine. He has applied his unique work experience on Wall Street to refine the business of Maine residential property brokerage. Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty employs a rigorous business model with experienced full-time agents, a vibrant internal communications network, and unsurpassed professionalism for the benefit of our clients.

Chris and his wife of more than 30 years reside in Cape Elizabeth.

Chris is a licensed real estate broker and Designated Broker in both Maine and New Hampshire. He also holds an Auctioneer license in Maine and is a Maine state Marriage Officiant. He is a member of several regional REALTOR® Boards as well as the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). He serves on the Finance Committee for Maine Listings (Maine's MLS) and is active with several charitable organizations in Maine.
