In 1975, Janet Moore moved from Newton, MA to Northeast Harbor, ME and never looked back. She left her teaching career to raise a family and began a career in Real Estate. Gaining valuable real estate knowledge and experience became a life commitment. In addition to being a consistent top producer in Hancock County, she has been a rental agent, licensed appraiser, Designated Broker for Train Properties (1995-1998) and owner/manager of Janet Moore Real Estate, LLC from 1999-2004.

A deep passion for Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park continues to grow. Janet is committed to her community, having served on several local boards and committees. She is currently serving on the Board of the Seal Harbor Library and the Seal Harbor Village Improvement Society, and a former 4-term board member of the Mount Desert Nursing Association. She is a member of the Seal Harbor Yacht Club, Kinfolk Paddle Tennis Club, and The Causeway Club.

Janet's personal interests include gardening, reading, travel, pickleball, hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing, sailing/boating, and spending time with friends and family. Her two grown sons and their wives reside in Northeast Harbor. Janet has been blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, Taylor and Gabby.
