Joanne Moore

Joanne Moore Damariscotta, ME Real Estate Agent Headshot

Agent Details

Meet Joanne

Although Joanne spent thirty seven years raising her family in Northern California, she always longed to return to her home state of Maine.

In each of her summer visits to Maine since she was 16, Joanne looked forward to spending time with family and making the most of her vacations enjoying the great outdoors whether it was hiking or fishing. On her summer visit in 2005, she met her now husband, Wayne Moore, while in line for a clambake on Cabbage Island. She moved back to Maine in 2007 and the couple purchased the Weatherbird, a retail specialty food and wine market and women’s boutique in Damariscotta. Not having any previous retail experience, Joanne jumped in with both feet and over the twelve years she owned the businesses, was recognized for her long-lasting relationships with customers through communication, exceptional customer service and an energetic personality.

“I am so pleased to have Joanne join our team of Midcoast Maine agents. This region has been an area of tremendous growth and success for the past decade,” states Chris Lynch, President. “Joanne has a wealth of knowledge for some of the most special places along Maine’s beautiful Midcoast. She has the resources and expertise to help her clients hit the ground running.”

Given her previous experience as a business owner, Joanne believes strongly in a personalized approach to guiding clients through the steps of purchasing or selling a home and being dedicated to the details involved in each transaction. After working for the Superior Courts in California for more than twenty years, she is confident in her abilities as a manager or supervisor with regard to her attention to detail, high standards of professionalism and experience in handling confidential and time sensitive documents. As Court Services Manager she developed and implemented various training methods, negotiated grant funding for public services and facilitated contracts with local and government agencies.

Joanne and Wayne live in the Boothbay/Damariscotta area year-round; six months are spent on Cabbage Island in Linekin Bay, where this season celebrated the Moore family’s 32nd season of the famous Cabbage Island Clambakes, and the remaining six months on the River Road. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, quilting and, of course, her role as a “Nana.” She devotes personal time to her community and volunteers as a trail tamer for the Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust and is a volunteer for the Apple Corp at Boothbay Region Land Trust.
