Judy McGeorge

Living in Ellsworth, Judy McGeorge is centrally located to serve the Blue Hill Peninsula down to Deer Isle, Mount Desert Island, and all of the towns in between.

Judy has long family roots in Ellsworth, Maine, and the surrounding area. While growing up in Delaware, she spent every summer of her childhood with her grandparents at Branch Lake in Ellsworth. Judy moved to Maine as a full-time resident in 1989. She and her partner, David Williams, live in a beautiful classic Cape Cod-style farmhouse, which has been passed down through her family for many generations. She lives just three miles from the summer lake house of her childhood, which also remains in her family.

Judy majored in Finance at Wharton’s Undergraduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a BS in Economics in 1977. Thirty-five years later, she returned to graduate school and completed a Master of Liberal Arts degree–reading the “great books” of the humanities curriculum at St. John’s College in Annapolis MD. She continues her interest in reading and small group conversation as a member of the Steering Committee of Blue Hill’s Colloquy Downeast. She is also Treasurer and a Board Member of the Blue Hill Concert Association.

In 2015, Judy embarked on a new career in real estate. This career builds on her deep love of Maine as both an idyll of perfect summers and her permanent year-round home in a congenial and interesting community.
