Northeast Harbor Office Welcomes Annie Allen

Northeast Harbor Office Welcomes Annie Allen

Northeast Harbor, Maine (July 2025) – Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty is excited to welcome Annie Allen to its Northeast Harbor office.

“Annie is a prolific agent with a broad geographic reach. She has closed nearly 100 transactions in the past five years across a wide range of towns,” states Chris Lynch, President of Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty. “Our team truly values her success and versatility in helping clients achieve their Maine real estate goals. I am confident that our statewide reach will complement Annie’s strong transaction skill set.”

As a lifelong Mainer, Annie was raised in this great state and is deeply connected to its communities and traditions. Since beginning her real estate career in 2018, she has become a trusted Realtor who looks out for the best interests and needs of her clients. She values building strong relationships through clear communication and helping clients find their perfect place in Maine. Growing up on the Blue Hill Peninsula and later attending college in Orono has given her broad local knowledge of the surrounding communities of Blue Hill, Downeast, and the Greater Bangor area.

Annie graduated from George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill in 1982, where she was inducted into the GSA Athletics Hall of Fame as a standout athlete and the school’s first female basketball player to score 1,000 points. She went on to play basketball at the University of Maine in Orono, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Annie later served on UMaine’s Black Bear Board of Advisors.

Following college, Annie spent 30 years working at G.M. Allen & Son, her family’s 100+ year-old wild blueberry processing plant in Orland. She managed sales and compliance and served as Vice President before the business was sold in 2018.

Throughout her career, Annie also served in public service as a political appointee for the USDA Farm Service Agency, spanning more than 30 years through three administrations. She was honored to be appointed State Chair during the last two terms, advocating for Maine farmers and rural communities. She also served on the Wild Blueberry Commission of Maine.

As a lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast, Annie stayed active playing competitive ASA slow-pitch softball, competing across the U.S. for many years after college. One highlight was leading her company-sponsored team, the “Wild Ones,” to a third-place finish at the 1993 Class B National Championship in Kingman, Arizona.

When not working with clients, Annie enjoys pickleball, kayaking, skiing, and navigating the bays around the Blue Hill Peninsula on her Key West boat. She has a special love for animals, especially her beloved Maine Coon cats, Red and Sox. Annie spends summers at her cottage on Newbury Neck, where she enjoys hosting family and friends, lobster feeds, and relaxing while watching the sea life in the bay.

Annie looks forward to continuing to serve buyers and sellers with the integrity, energy, and passion that have defined every step of her journey.

She is a licensed Associate Broker and a member of the Mid-Coast Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
