Where Maine Currency Comes to Life

Featured on the Maine State quarter, the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse should be a requisite destination for any amount of time spent in Bristol. The lighthouse was built in 1825 and was important as it is located on a dangerous part of the Maine coast. Explore the lighthouse inside and out as well as the lighthouse keeper’s home which is now a museum. While you are there, enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Gulf of Maine from the land which the lighthouse sits on and visit the gift shop and restaurant located nearby.
