In the luxury real estate market, longevity is built on results. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we’ve been looking back at the milestones that shaped our company. An important moment in our history was a 2009 Mainebiz feature that captured the spirit of what we set out to do: connect people with luxury homes that reflect the beauty and lifestyle of Maine.
The article was published during a historic economic downturn. While the broader market was struggling, our company was expanding. Our founder, Chris Lynch, noted at the time: “There are tremendous opportunities to grow in a down market.” By choosing to open new offices and invest in marketing while others pulled back, we established a foundation of success that has defined the last two decades.
Within just three years of our launch, we had captured 25% of the luxury home market between York and Waldo counties. This was an early reflection of both the strength of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand and the trust we worked hard to inspire. Over the past two decades, we’ve had the privilege of helping clients discover homes, retreats, and experiences that truly enrich lives. From quaint seaside cottages to sprawling country estates, each property tells a story, and has become a vital part of ours.

This same perspective has carried through every aspect of our business. Rather than chasing volume, we have always placed our emphasis on quality and consistency. By maintaining this focus, we ensure that every property we represent receives the meticulous attention it deserves. Looking back, what stands out most is how closely our early vision aligns with who we are today. Our commitment to service, professionalism, and thoughtful execution has remained constant for twenty years. What began as a clear philosophy has become our defining presence in Maine’s luxury real estate market.
