New Hampshire’s single-family housing market saw increases in new listings, pending sales, and inventory in September, alongside continued growth in median sales prices. New listings increased 6.4% for single-family homes, while pending sales increased 8.5%. Inventory rose 19.3%, and the median sales price increased 6.5% to $569,900. Days on market increased 18.5%, while months supply of inventory rose 11.5%.
Nationally, existing-home sales fell 2.0% from the previous month and 1.2% from a year earlier, reaching a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.98 million—the first reading below 4 million since June 2025.
Heading into September, national inventory reached 1.62 million homes, up 3.2% from the previous month and 5.9% year over year. This represents a 4.9-month supply, the highest level in more than ten years. The national median existing-home sales price rose 1.6% year over year to $429,100, marking 38 consecutive months of annual gains.
With inventory increasing and homes taking longer to sell, market conditions continue to evolve for buyers and sellers across New Hampshire.
