Cumberland County Maine Single Family Home Sales Analysis 2001-2011

■ The highest median sold price for Cumberland County occurred in 2010 and 2011. All years were above the state median.
■ One of 2 counties in Maine with median sold prices above $200,000 in 2010 and 2011. (Cumberland and York)
■ Sold prices increased an average of 11% annually between 1998 and 2005;
held steady in 2006 and 2007, were down 6% in 2008, down 6% in 2009, up 2.4% in 2010, and held steady in 2011.
■ One in four sales in the State of Maine are in Cumberland county (25%)
■ The number of sales peaked in 2005, decreased 34.5% 2005-2008, increased 10.6% 2008-2010., and were down 4% in 2011.
■ More sales occur in Cumberland county than in Aroostook,
Franklin, Knox, Lincoln, Piscataquis, Sagadahoc, Somerset,
Waldo, and Washington counties combined.
