Damariscotta Office Welcomes Charlie Stuart

Damariscotta, Maine (July 2024) Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Maine’s leading luxury real estate company, is proud to announce that Charlie Stuart has joined the brokerage’s Damariscotta office.

Charlie Stuart has joined  the Damariscotta office as a real estate salesperson partnering with Senior Vice President, Kathy Leeman. Charlie and his wife, Sarah Payne Stuart, have been residents of Damariscotta Lake for the past 20 years.  After building a home as a vacation spot and family compound, Charlie moved permanently from Boston where he worked as a documentary filmmaker. It was easy for him to fall in love with Maine, loons on the lake and the eagles above as well as the diverse population of mid coast Maine.

Real estate has always been an avocation “out of love , not out of necessity” he says, and as a result, he has been involved in many deals including converting  a town house in Boston into a condominium, developing a former girls camp into a family compound, developing ten acres on Damariscotta Lake, owning single family and two family homes, apartments in New York City and two houses in Westchester County.
