US News & World Report recently reviewed 31,242 U.S. public high schools; 26 Maine schools made their rankings.
Maine high schools must instruct students in eight subject areas, including career and education development and world languages. Students take the Maine High School Assessment exams and may apply for the Regional Student Program Tuition Break at out-of-state colleges within New England.
